The 12th ATP aligns the CLP criteria with the 6th and 7th editions of the UN GHS. More specifically, it introduces the new class of desensibilised explosives, and a new category of pyrophoric gases. It also intriduces a new 1% consideration threshold for components classified as STOT SE 3 and as toxic via aspiration for what concerns the hazard calculation of mixtures.
The 12th ATP further clarifies when it is appropriate to assign statement EUH208 to substances with specific concentration limits (SCL).
Lastly, the 12th ATP amends the text of some H and P statements.
The 12th ATP will come into force on October 17th 2020, but it allows voluntary adoption prior to this deadline.
