Annex VIII: what does it bring to the table?
According to Article 45 of CLP Regulation, importers and downstream users who place hazardous mixtures in the market should submit relevant information in the event of emergency health response to designated appointed bodies. The Annex VIII to the same regulation defines the content and procedure of the harmonized transmission for all Member States, and the Compliance dates of the harmonized transmission depends on the use type of the product subject to notification requirements. As time passes, we are now approaching the last Compliance date of January 1st 2024.
Annex VIII: Compliance dates
As defined in Annex VIII, the dates after which products cannot be placed on the marked without a compliant PCN transmission were defined as follows:
- January 1st 2021 for mixtures for consumer and professional use
- January 1st 2024 for mixtures for industrial use
Regardless of the use, the Compliance date for mixtures already compliant with Article 45 requirements before the appropriate Compliance date is January 1st 2025, except in cases where there is a need to provide updated information.
