On April 05, 2023, the Australian Government - Department of Agriculture and Water Resources published the “Amended import conditions for Korean Grapes”.
The document indicates the following points:
- Updated import conditions of Korean Grapes published on the Australian Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON);
- Inclusion of a New cold treatment requirement to support the current system;
- The cold treatment is to be performed before shipment in approved facilities or refrigerated reefers in transit;
- The treatment is to be performed according to the approved schedule listed in BICON.
- This notice affects importers and brokers of fresh grapes and Pathway Operations Cargo-Assessment and Inspections.
