On September 4, 2018, The National Health Commission of the PRC (MOH) published 2018-8 Notice about five new additives such as (±)-Cyclohexyl ethyl alcohol and Neotame enlarge usage scope of seven food additives.
(±)-Cyclohexyl ethyl alcohol is allowed to be used in food, except for 28 food categories in which the usage of the flavor is forbidden. Chitosanase from Bacillus subtilis and Lipase from Mucor circinelloides as enzyme, are allowed to be used in all food categories following good manufacturing practices (GMP).
