European Union (EU) Issues New Food Recalls – December 2019

On December 18, 2019, the European Union (EU) has recalled multiple food products, as notified in the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
The following contaminants have been identified:
- Sunset Yellow FCF in candies from the United States (2019.4495);
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in shredded wild garlic from Germany (2019.4519);
- Aflatoxins in roasted red rice flour from Sri Lanka (2019.4495);
