In March 2019 the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) portal of the European Union published recalls on food categories from different countries.
Food commodities involved are the following:
- Frozen pheasant breast fillets from Belgium contaminated by lead (2.4; 2.6; 1.2; 1.0 mg/kg - ppm), alert notification 1024;
- Groundnuts from Nicaragua containing aflatoxin (B1 = 5.8; Tot. = 6.3 µg/kg - ppb), alert notification 1035;
- Live mussells from Spain with too high content of Escherichia Coli (330; 490 MPN/100g), alert notification 1040.
