On June 3, 2019, the European Union (EU) Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) published new notifications of food recalls.
Among others, the following microbiological agents have been identified:
- Salmonella (presence /25g) in sesame seeds from Sudan, as reported in notifications 2018;
- Salmonella (presence /25g) and high count of Escherichia coli (7.8x10*3 CFU/g) in betel Leaves from Malaysia, as per notification 2019;
- High count of Escherichia coli in herbal infusion from Italy, produced in Spain, with raw material from Germany (2022);
