European Union (EU) Recalls Affecting Food Products – September 2019

On September 16, 2019, the European Union (EU) Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) has published new notifications of food recalls.
Among others, the following agents have been identified:
- Salmonella (presence /25g) in sesame seeds from Sudan, as reported in notifications 2019.3282, 2019.3284;
- Aflatoxins in groundnuts from Nicaragua (2019.3289), nutmeg from Lebanon (2019.3283);
- Histamine in frozen vacuum-packed marinated tuna loins (Thunnus albacares) from Vietnam, as per notification 2019.3281.
