European Union (EU) Recalls Affecting Food Products – September 2020

On September 17, 2020, the European Union (EU) Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) published new notifications of food recalls.
Among others, the following notifications were released:
- Migration of epoxidised soybean oil (ESBO) (120 mg/kg - ppm) from glass jars containing canned tuna from France (2020.3618)
- Absence of labelling (consumption instructions) on candlenut (Aleurites moluccanus) from Singapore, via the Netherlands (2020.3797)
- tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and unauthorised novel food ingredient cannabidiol (CBD) in food supplements offered online for sale (2020.3799)
