On April 15, 2019, the European Union (EU) Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) released new food alerts and recalls.
Notifications involve the following food commodities:
- Frozen cuttlefish (Sepia pharaonis) from India that revealed the presence of cadmium, as reported in notifications 2019.1415;
- Gluten-free pasta from Poland containing too high levels of gluten. Notification link can be found here;
- Salmonella enterica ser. Bredeney found in lamb meat meal from the Netherlands and in organic mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis) from Italy, packaged in France, as reported in notifications 2019.1418 and 2019.1419.
