Korea Proposes Partial Amendment of Health Functional Food Code

On April 11th, 2023, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea issued a notification on the “Partial Amendment Food Code/Food Standard and Specifications (No. 2023-28)".

The scope of the document summarizes the following:

• To establish and revise the residue allowance standards for pesticides and imported Agri-products;
• To provide safe food to the public and revise the standards for Veterinary Drugs in Food; 
• The setting of pesticide and veterinary drug testing methods as per new residue tolerance standards;

The regulation is effective from July 01, 2023.
