On February 7th, 2024, the National Institute of Quality-Peru, published a draft technical standard on “PNTP 011.023:2023 Citrus Fruits Requirements”.
The Standard proposes the following key- points:
- Establishes minimum quality requirements and classification criteria for fresh consumption;
- Applicable to sweet citrus fruits such as mandarins and their hybrids, orange and grapefruit, etc.;
- The fruits are not intended for industrial processing.
The draft is valid for comments until April 06, 2024.
