On April 20, 2020, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has published the circular "Maximum Residue Limits Established For Pesticides And Veterinary Drugs Previously Not Allowed In Food".
New maximum residue limits (MRLs) for various pesticides have been added to the Ninth Schedule of the Food Regulations in order to facilitate trade. Moreover, new MRLs for some veterinary drugs have been introduced to replace “not detected” as the default limit.
The new residue limits will apply from May 01, 2020.
