The draft text of what will become the regulation on detergents and surfactants aims to ensure the proper functioning of the internal market by ensuring that available detergents and surfactants meet requirements that provide a high level of protection for health and the environment.

Among the changes, we point out:

  • Labelling requirements for information to be provided on the labels of detergents and surfactants made available on the market.
  • The introduction of the digital product passport for detergents and surfactants.
  • The introduction of requirements for detergents containing micro-organisms.
  • The introduction of new measures regarding animal testing.
