On November 16th, 2021, the UK legislation published a regulation on “The Products Containing Meat, etc. (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2021”.
The scope of the document highlights the following:
- The regulation amends “The Products Containing Meat etc. (England) Regulations 2014” to remove their expiry date, review clause, and provisions that are no longer in force;
- The regulation amends “Food (Amendment and Transitional Provisions) (England) Regulations 2021”;
- To extend the transitional period during which the requirements of the Products Containing Meat etc. (England) Regulations 2014 do not apply to certain imported meat products.
The regulation comes into force on December 12th, 2021, and extends to England and Wales.
