Upcoming HazCom update

What is HazCom?

Inl 2012, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) incorporated the third revision of the GHS Standard in the 29 CFR 1910.1200 standard, commonly known as HazCom. This standard specifies classification criteria, while also standardising label elements and chemical product information to be indicated in the SDS concerning the US market.

HazCom is being updated

Right now, OSHA is working on harmonising the Hazard Communication Standard (HazCom) with the 7^th UN GHS revision, the most recent one. We can expect a number of differences between the existing HazCom 2012 version and the upcoming revision, since this new version will incorporte new implementations that were introduced to UN GHS Revision 4^th to 7^th.
