US Establishes the Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticide Ipflufenoquin

On March 01st, 2022, the U.S Federal Register published a regulation by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency on “Ipflufenoquin; Pesticide Tolerances, 40 CFR 180.719, 87 FR 11315”.
The scope of the document highlights the following:
- The tolerance of the residues is applicable in or on almond, almond, hulls, and fruit, pome, group 11–10;
- The established residue levels in or on almond at 0.01 ppm; almond, hulls at 3 ppm; and fruit, pome, group 11–10 at 0.15 ppm;
- The dietary food exposure assessments were performed based on 100 PCT and tolerance-level residues;
- Risk assessment data ensures the safety of infants and the general population is adequately protected based on the toxicological profile and dietary exposure;
- Short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of tolerance on these food products is unlikely to pose a health risk to consumers.
The regulation is effective from March 01st, 2022.
