On 20th June 2024, the US Federal Register established regulation on the “Time-limited Tolerance for Residues of Afidopyropen on Strawberry” per the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).
The document summarizes the following points:

- EPA has sufficient data to assess the hazards to decide on aggregate exposure expected to be at 0.3 ppm;
- Safety evaluation and risk assessment studies due to dietary exposure indicate no harm to general population, infants, and children;
- The regulation directly impacts the growers, food processors, food handlers, and food retailers;
The established rule is effective from June 20th, 2024, and will expire on 31st December 2027.
