Vietnam To Issue the New Food Additive Regulation

On August 30, 2019, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam has published the “Circular No. 24/2019 / TT-BYT regulates the management and use of food additives.”
Appendix I is included in the Circular as a list of food additives permitted to use in food. Among them, trisodium citrate, sodium fumatares and benzoates are mentioned. The Circular also includes a list of maximum use of additives in food (Annex II) and a list of food additives and food subjects that are permitted in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) (Annex III).
The regulation will enter into force on October 16, 2019.
